Dennis66 I saw a vertical rack for Kayaks when traveling this summer. I'll look to see if I can find a it online. I did not take a picture of it.

I did a conversion on my 303RLS. I removed the stock trailer hitch. Instead I bought two receiver ends, about 1 foot long, and drilled them to bolt onto the same holes as the stock hitch to the frame. This gave me two 2" receivers, one on each frame. I then fashioned a motorcycle carrier that has two bars that plug into the receivers and stick out about 4', on top of which I mounted a rail for the bike. This keeps the bike from rocking side to side. It is very stable. You could easily do the same thing and add a rack to each tube extension to hold the Kayaks on the back, horizontally, stacked one on top of the other on separate shelves. Hope this makes sense. I am not sure how long a Kayak is, but you would not want it to stick out on either side of the trailer. I added trailer lights to the carrier too since the bike blocks the lights on the trailer.

tgodrich GD welded the hitches on the new 303's Dennis has one that is a few weeks newer than mine and I know mine is welded not bolted to the frame.

That is a more expensive solution for GD. Not sure why they would do that. Not everyone wants a trailer hitch. It also weighs quite a lot.

I have seen many mount them on the ladder on the rear of unit. This may disperse the weight more evenly and prevent more "bounce" on the highway

I don't know if I would mount anything on the ladder. It says rated for 250 lbs, and there is a sticker on the camper says 300 lb limit. This is not a bouncing load like what will be going down the highway. I'd be afraid when I get to the next camping spot, my ladder and other items are somewhere along the highway.

They have one I found that goes in the hitch and you can stack two deep and the price is under $200.00
