  • Water Test Kit (RVTI)

Want to test your water system for leaks prior to de-winterization? This RVTI tool is similar (if not exactly the same) to what is used by GD on the production line to ensure the system is sealed from the factory.

    Note the kit comes unassembled.

Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Unless specifically mentioned otherwise, we have nothing to gain should you choose to purchase a product or engage a service we discuss on this forum.

Does that somehow hold the back flow prevention on the city inlet open? If not, seems like the gauge would register the pressure you initially input and then not fall even if there was a leak. Or am I confused how the city inlet back flow prevention works?

It does hold the check valve open, Terry. You're not confused.

I've looked for Canadian sources for those devices before, but have had no luck. Short of installing a fixed pressure gauge on the system, which has been discussed once or twice before, I've debated about just throwing a garden hose pressure gauge onto the outdoor shower hose with both the hot and cold valves open for a preseason check

Your pressure gage can also be installed on the end of the cold low point drain.
