  • Morryde Rubber Pin Box

Has anyone upgraded to this pin box? Thinking of upgrading pin box on our 337.

From what I have seen the rubber pin box is a "wear" item that would need to be replaced at some period, not sure how long that is though. I have seen different times at the National Rally Morryde's service truck going around with "used" rubber pin boxes in the bed, replaced with new ones I assume. My opinion is that the rubber in the pin box is similar to the rubber in their equalizers and we have seen those getting replaced on this Forum. I am sure that it will most likely cushion the ride but at an upfront cost and also a replacement cause, maybe after a few years depending on your usage.

    Just my opinion.

I have it on mine. It wasn’t an upgrade as it came from GD with it. I have not had any problems with it except in the last week or so with a lot of rain I have noticed quite a bit of rust showing up on the bottom plate. Have inquired with Morryde but have not heard a response. Compared to our last 5th wheel I don’t see a huge difference between the standard and this one but our last unit was much lighter also.
