I weighed the truck and trailer (some supplies but no water in the tanks) with WDH, w/o WDH, and then solo. I think I am good. See attached. The only weight I am busting is my Rear GAWR by 70 lbs. I had a chair and few things in the bed so I think I can get her back below the Rear GAWR. But, I am installing a set of Roadmasters. I did feel a little porpoising though. Any thoughts?John and Lori

Truck GVWR is 6500. Truck is 6160 as currently configured. What are the axle GAWRs?
Trailer GVWR is 6995 and total weight is 5680. That's remarkable. Trailer was loaded for camping? (Food, clothes, etc?)
When everything is hooked up, is the camper parallel ("level") to the road?

Our 22mle weight was 5580, that’s ready for camping. We don’t carry water in fresh and generally pack light. Just two of us.2010 Tundra SR5 DC 5.7L

Trailer was loaded modestly but no water. Food, clothes, chairs, and few other items plus set up equipment (blocks, cords, hoses, etc.)
It road level.
GCWR was 11,300.John and Lori

The numbers (to me) look good. Are you seeing something I'm missing?Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself. Thanks Howson. My mistake on the number. It was busting w/o the WDH hooked up. The numbers are good but what I am experiencing is porpoising. Maybe I have too much weight on the front axle. Adjust the WDH to transfer a little more weight on the rear axle?John and Lori

A fellow forum member pointed out that ny F-350's manual has a specific procedure to properly hook up a WDH hitch (fender height measurements are taken). Does your F-150 have something similar in the manual? I do think there's too much weight pushed forward onto the front axle.
Again...I have limited experience with the issue. Hopefully others will chime in.Forum moderators are not GD employees--we are volunteers and owners presumably just like yourself.
