  • Andersen 3217 hitch

    Hello all

we have ordered a 2021 F3 50 SRW ccsb. So I’m wondering if I should order the 3217 Anderson hitch which is slightly higher than the standard Anderson would really like to understand if anybody is using this hitch in any kind of feedback little concerned about the height
I am certainly thinking that I should use the Anderson because I am very close to my capacity of payload and hence the Andersen would be a good choice I think. I’m assuming that the higher hitch would allow me to put the Coupler forward of the king pin so I can get Max club clearance without hitting the bed rail

Anyone using the 3217 would really like any kind of insight you might have

You will probably find your truck is so tall that level towing may not be possible with the standard hitch, so going higher may force you to tow nose high. Get your truck bed height at the gooseneck ball location and pin height and you can start figuring from there. My truck is 35-1/4” at the ball unloaded, and the bed rails are 19-3/4” above the bed.

My 250 CC SB has decent cab clearance with the ball behind the coupler and the standard AUH.
