  • New Reflection 337rls

As you all may have read I got a new TV a week ago. A Ram 3500. Well you can't have a new TV without a new trailer. Today we picked up our new Reflection 347.

Unfortunately as bad luck would have it I picked up a hitch hiker on the way home from the dealer. My TPMS did it's job and with a few roadside air refills I was able to limp it back home. I'm a little bummed about a ruined brand new Goodyear Endurance.

ckreef -- well that sucks! You're right to classify that as "ruined"--no shop I'm aware of will patch a sidewall.

Time to update your sig block again.

I don't think any one will repair it because the area it's in flexes too much.

You can try this stuff https://www.tireject.com I watch a youtube channel, and he uses it on tractors and his other implements with lots of success with various locations of repairs. One other guy had a tire dry rotted so bad it would not hold air long enough for them to load it on a trailer. In the dry rotted tire, he went a full year looking for a replacement tire before he found one. That stuff held it together.

If it would have been in the top tread I would have had it patched from the inside and used it as a spare. As it stands now I'll buy another one. Just not willing to risk that much trailer on a sketchy tire. Definitely sucks. We want to go camping next weekend. I'll pull it off tomorrow and hopefully get it replaced next week.

Bummer Charles, I know how you feel we’ve picked up three in the last two years. I’ve had good luck in the past getting Goodyear’s pretty quickly from Amazon. Hope to see you at the National Rally or at Mountain View in Oct. say hey to Your Susan from mine.

Check to see if you have the Lionshead tire and wheel warranty, it covers road hazards I think.

I have the LionsHead warranty. Unfortunately it sounds great and is a salesman dream. After looking over the documentation it is for manufactures defects only. Road hazards (screws and what not) are not covered. Improper inflation or overloading the tires are also not covered.

It's a good selling point but basically useless.

ckreef Are you sure? IIRC and not being able to get to my stuff at the moment, a 2 year road hazard and 1 year NQA replacement is floating around in my brain..

The Lions Head warranty itself does not cover road hazards. Will have to look through all my other documentation and see if I have anything along those lines.

Either way a local tire shop will have me a new one mounted up this afternoon. A screw is not going to stop us from Camping this weekend.
