  • 268BH Setup w/TV Questions

Good evening all, me and my wife has purchased a2021 GD 268bh. TV 2017 250 4x4 CC 6.7. I have about 3.5 inch rake. With the camper loaded all heavy stuff up front I only drop a 1.5 in the rear. Measured the camper on my truck and it’s 4 inch high. BW hitch on lowest setting and yawing the turning point pin box. So I read much as I could for the past 2 days about trying to fix it. I do have air bags with 5 psi. Any help on this please? I thought it would drop the rear of my truck more than that.

I would recommend looking at lowering your rear end. I did this on my 2019, not sure about your 17 but it should be possible. There is a spacer in the rear suspension, mine was 4”. I bought one for a 250 which was 2” and it dropped My rear end by two inches.

I think this is the thread I followed:

Ok thank you sir. I was looking at that this morning. My blocks are 3inch in the front and 3.25 on rear aide of axle. I also have air bags. My question is if I used a 2inch block I should drop about an inch iam I thinking right?

I read the post but I can’t find a part number for a 2inch block. Any advice to look? Called the dealership and they told me I need a part number. I looked at after market 2inch and new u bolts but I need like a stock block so the air bag has something to set on.

These guys will make them whatever height you want and will fab them with a air bag mount:

Still reading through to find the Ford part numbers.

I think the Ford part number is: 6C3Z-5598-A but confirm with your dealer. About page 20 or so in the thread I linked they discuss the part number. I reused my ubolts and cut them off since I was engaging new threads on the ubolts I figured it should be fine.

I did so more research.. The PFM looks good. That part number is to a 2016 250. I ran across one of my buddies dad that works in service and he was able to look it up. My question is should I do a 2 inch or 1.5 block. Thoughts. Would have to change anything as in shocks or angle for drive shaft? Would my air still work if I did a 2 or a 1.5? Thoughts? Thank u so much for ur help.

I don’t have air bags but from what I read when I did my research, it does not change the dimension of the bag at all. But I’d read through the whole thread to confirm. They all claimed no issue with the drive shaft angle either. I’ve got 30,000 miles on mine with no issues for what that’s worth.

Ford no help but I did call the PFM and they have a reverse leveling kit for like 300 bucks. So I will probably go that route just need to make my mind up on if I want 1.5 or 2 inch block.
