  • F350 Ford SRW King Rach or Lariat Crew Cab long bed equals what in GMC/Chevy world?

I am looking at new tow vehicles, but when I went looking at the Duramax/Allison lines over at Chevy/GMC I get lost in the trim versions/options and packages. I want to compare apples to apples. So can someone give me pointers in navigating the Chevy/GM web pages. Looking to find something that compares to the Lariat or King Ranch in the Ford F350 series SRW. 10,500 GVW in a SRW or better.

First question is what is the difference between Chevy trucks and the GMC trucks. From what I can tell the GMC has the higher trim levels? otherwise the same drivetrain?
Second question. Is the double cab same as the Ford super cab but in a different door opening configuration?
Third question Are rapid specifications (ordering details) similar to Fords available for the Chevy/GMC lines. These would show the details of what is included in each option, etc.

I guess what I am looking for is a how to accurately compare the different brands and options. Trying to be open.

    Thanks
    Keith

PS: yes I have time on my hands enjoying DW folks house and relaxing. Had fantastic catfish, fried oysters, hush puppy's, turnup greens, slaw, etc last night at a local fish house called Eason's

I have the LTZ model. This is one step below the High Country model which I believe is Chevy's top model. I have looked at the double cab , it is smaller but still usable room if you do not haul adults in the back very often. Yes the GMC has a lot more options and a higher price tag to go with it. Jim will be along to fill in with all of the GM items , maybe more than you want to know , LOL. The only thing I do not like about the Chevy line is lack of colours, the choices are pretty plain for me and Ford seems to have quite a bit of better colour choices.

      Yoda Keith,

GMC Denali about equal to Chevy High Country (King Ranch Ford)
After that it's all confusing. I have the Denali package, but you can add enough stuff to it that overlaps with what's already installed to blow your mind. Best bet, walk on to lot and find what you like in color and options, then start talking money.

        Yoda Keith,

I use the build and price options as found on the links below. On the right of each option on the GM pages there will be an "i" where clicking on this will show what comes with each package. The GMC is a higher optioned truck where the powertrains are the same as Chevrolet. One option that I believe is only on the GMC is the multipro-tailgate. Double Cab or Extended Cab is the same as the Super Cab. The GM trucks rear door opens at the rear like a conventional door. Its just the DW and I so I like the Double Cab where I can have more bed area and use the double cab to store valuables or move people on occasions.
