You can always go with the lower cost option and add LED lighting if you feel an improvement is needed. I added Morimoto LED fogs and headlights to my truck for $500 total.

A big part of my upgrade from my 2012 to the 2019 was the headlights. I snowmobile a bit, and let me tell you in the north woods if Wisconsin in January it gets dark early, and really dark. The led lights make a huge difference. I've never checked, but never had an issue with the snow and ice build up. Was skeptical of the led lights after having bi xenon hid in my other cars, but figured it had to be better than halogen, and it's been outstanding. Wouldn't give it up for the world.

I have them on my 2019 F-350. The only complaint that I have is the lack of heat generated, which leads to ice and snow build-up in bad weather. I’ve only driven the truck two times in this type of weather, as it is primarily parked at the side of the house if not hooked up and pulling the trailer. I’m not sure that the truck would handle all that well in snow and ice with no weight in the bed, so my AWD Subaru Outback gets that job. I don’t know if later model years might have some type of heating element in them, similar to a rear window defroster. If that were the case, they would be perfect. That said, otherwise, I love them. Very bright and they really light up the road. They are so bright that there was a recall to turn them down a bit. I think that they are worth the money, but be aware that they may ice up if you drive in that type of weather.

Quality LED's are great. Cheap ones are marginal. I added a 30" lightbar to our TV. For when we are by ourselves on the road....
I would seriously consider them. For $1K, I'd like to take a test drive overnight to try them out.
