Congrats on the new truck! I know you have been looking, and its a pain right now. Have a buddy that just bought a new Sierra (GM guy) and he traveled to find a decent deal. What did you decide for a hitch?

I think I found that roudy group at Mount Kidd from a couple weeks ago . Kidding of course!
Gotta love the diesel - 1050 lbs-ft of torque at 1600 rpm... matters in the mountains!
Lol. Wasn't us... this time - haven't been to Mt Kidd since May.
Cheers!

I am initially going with a Reese adapter frame so that I can use my Reese manual slider hitch with the puck system attachment to the new truck. I still think that the gooseneck hitch that you have is the best choice and I may go that way eventually if I can convince myself that I don't need the slider in this short box.

Congrats on the new truck!
I've never wanted to go back to a gasser after having the torque of a diesel, and the braking benefits of the exhaust brake.
Only downside, and it's small, is you sink in the sand a bit more launching a boat . You being a boat person...2018 Dodge 3500 6.7 Cummins w Aisin and 9 cup holders

I am very jealous - you beat me to it. I am still waiting to get mine ordered. It will be a long bed though for the larger fuel tank. After a few miles could you post if the 34 gallon is enough and what millage your getting from the new beast - sure is beautiful. Please let me know how you like the adapter frame as I am on the fence on getting a 20K B&W puck one.
Ted TedS have you had any issues with your frame? I see you have the reese. I know Curt makes one too.
Safe travels Rob

Wow, congrats Rob, you're going to love that beauty but I want to hear more about your future travel plans. We just have to find a way to get together. Don't know if you read anywhere but we already sold the little 17MKE we bought. It was just too small after the 5th wheel, and bought a 2022 22MLE. Just a little longer but adds a dinette and a bed that stays down. Man it would be great to see you guys out west someday or really anywhere!Paul and Deb Cervone

Congratulations on the new truck Rob. Can't go wrong these days with the big three and black looks great. Hope you are enjoying your new residence. We're still settling in and making some changes where I will never do this again. LOL
For my future truck, I'm going to stay with the half ton truck and am waiting for GM to include the Super Cruise feature where the truck will fully drive itself, even with the trailer. Cant sleep behind the wheel where GM uses the DAS system to keep the driver attentive which I like. This feature along with the light duty diesel will work well for us while towing our Imagine out west. Can't say I'm fond of their rear oil pump belt but I have spoke with folks that are working on extending the service interval where this will not be a concern.
