Things do happen but I would give them another try, rather than to take it jiffy lube and have them throw in whatever is in a drum, use a less than desirable oil filter and strip out your oil pan.

Oh I am with you there, I would never go to Jiffy Lube. I change it myself, its easy enough and I know the right oil is going into it.

Use Motorcraft filters and oil approved by Ford and you will be good to go. I'm now with a new dealer in Ohio so we will see how this one works out. No issues on the DWs oil change and tire rotation last week but maybe I should go out and count those locking lug nuts. LOL.

howson Howard Thanks for creating this thread. I have learned way more than I should know and that is dangerous for me. - especially the side research. I do have a simple solution for you. Put the Forscan aside and order a 2023 when the order bank opens in August or December.

Unfortunately the ability to order a 2022 has passed. Yep then everything you need will be there at you finger tips. Just think of the upgrade possibility and the source of numerous threads. A very simple solution

Me I am still waiting on "Hal" to actually be on a rail car and shipped. At least I wont be worried about snow - just the hail now

Just trying to help............................Aren't paybacks wonderful

Yoda Keith, vehicles are shipped in covered rail wagons. Typically those big aluminum vented side yellow ended look like cattle hauler things.

More useless information for you to "research" https://www.up.com/customers/track-r...k-rail-car.htm

At first I thought you said they shipped in Covered Wagons of the wild west era....then again with the shipping issues it might get here faster

Thanks for the link. They must use skinny folks to load them and still get out the door, unless its done another way..

Ill do some more reading while I wait for my hardwood filler to dry. I am doing 3/4" solid hickory 5" planks in the bed rooms - raw wood. Next step is the wonderful sanding.

Yoda Keith, hopefully you ordered that or had it milled. If you did it yourself, did you remember to make the relief cuts in the back side so it lays flat and does not have enough strength to cup?

I am lucky to have a professional mill works about 50 miles away in a nearby town. They produce the raw blanks for several major flooring manufacturers. Its a product that they call stained hickory. Has some natural wood staining from bacteria that lived in the tree. The wood logs get shipped to them and they let the arid environment dry the wood. Its about 1/2 the cost of online and yes they have the relief groves in the back to keep it stable. Unfortunately the wood I am using has been in my garage stored flat for about 10 years. So I have the occasional sweet heart plank.

Ill send you a picture when I get done.

Again thanks for the link. I did a bit of searching, but cant find anything on the actual loading/unloading. My Grandfather worked on the TP&W as an engineer in the Peoria Illinois switching yard humping cars. Some of the best memories I have was spending a day sitting on his lap running the diesel locomotive and getting an official engineer hat from his boss. I was also lucky enough to see one of the big steam engines run - back in the late 50's. I think I was 5 or 6 at the time. He passed shortly after that memorable day.
