  • SwivelWheel Golf Cart carrier

    Hello all,

We just purchased a 2022 Solitude 390RK-R. There is a rear hitch on the back that is rated for 300lbs but i was looking to possible beef up the rear end and add the two class 3 receivers in order to attach a swivelwheel carrier for a 1000lb golf cart. Anyone ever done this on a 5th wheel? What was your opinion and how easy was it to secure it to your trailer? Did you add some strength to the receivers? Any info is much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance, Rick

Welcome to the forum! Given your rig is new I would suggest you contact Lippert (they make the frame) for their recommendation, but I would be surprised if they recommend this. Most likely that kind of upgrade could endanger or void your frame warranty. Many have asked about beefing up the provided hitch for Ebikes and been told the same thing.

Hudson1028 Welcome to the family and the forum! Due to the distance between the rear axles and rear of the frame, I would venture that Lippert will say not just no, but.. The distance would make it impossible to make a warranty as the tail strike possibility (probility) would put all of the weight on the carrier and a failure likely.
