  • Strapteks w/Blue Ox WDH on a 315RLTS - First Impressions

    In a word--excellent.

Installation was straight-forward. Nothing cosmic to report. If you have basic hand tools and some time it is easy enough to install. Getting the strap perfectly vertical took a few tries but it wasn't hard.

To save myself from typing out a long description on how this thing works give the ~3 minute video below a look. It's nothing fancy but it should give you a good idea of how the Straptek works.

    Any questions, fire away.

[QUOTE=Triplethreat;n9250]Welcome to the world of easy hookups and disconnects.....it's almost like cheating... [QUOTE]

Agree 100%--wish I hadn't waited so long to get them. Really pleased with how easy they are to connect and disconnect. Thanks for all your help!

The only thing I wish they had was a cover for the Straptek so when the camper is just parked in the back yard the straps are protected from UV damage, moisture, etc. I'm going to send Lippert another email.

Well dang, that's very generous of you. I'll owe you one...I'll send address by PM.

As he said he would, Triplethreat sent me his custom Straptek covers. Thank you, Vern!

If you're wondering "why" it's becuase he doesn't need them as I believe he now has a 5vr and sold his Strapteks.

Due to the burgundy cover I'm tempted to stencil "REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT" on them.

This looks almost too easy. howson would you mind sharing the size of Blue Ox bars you use on your 315RLTSPlus. I have a 312BHTS which would be very similar. I was planing on an Equalizer 14000 but the ability to easily adjust for loads seems like something I’d want to be able to do.

          Thanks!

2K bars which is typical of those of us that have a (heavy) camper and the Blue Ox.

Thank you! I’ll have to use it as is for a bit. I forgot how much money you spend getting a new camper set up.
