Hello! I am bringing my trailer to the factory service center this coming Monday, Jan 16 for a wide range of issues that need to be dealt with before the warranty runs out. I’ve tried two local service centers and have had no luck either getting an appointment or getting anyone to fix anything. My question is: I’ve seen some information about spots by the service center at 5200 Hoffman St in Elkhart that customers can park at for the night, as the service center wants you there at 6:00 am. I’m about 3 hours away, so I am able to make it there by it’s waking up early, but it would be nice to get there the night before. Has anyone done this recently and have any info? Do you need a reservation of some kind? Does this even exist. I haven’t been able to find much information. Thanks!

I am not aware of any spots to camp overnight at the new Service Center, there are spots at the main campus outside the old Service Center which is about a half hour away from the new one.

Consider staying at the Elkhart Campground. As the map below shows, it's only about 8 miles from the GD Customer Care Center facility. The route out of the campground, down 4, and then 17 is very doable.

Thanks! Unfortunately, they are closed for the season. Would be perfect though. I figured most would be this time of year. You cannot even drop off the unit at the new service center the night before. I already asked that. We are going to stay at the old service center until our appointment. I received an email, when the service was scheduled, that I replied back to as confirmation for the camping/parking area. If you are scheduled for service and there is an empty spot, I don’t think that would be a problem. The mods might be able to better answer that part.2022 Momentum 397THS-R 12/3/2021

We usually stay at the RV Hall of Fame Museum it’s a harvest host to get to new service center. If you are not a harvest host member I bet if you call them they might allow you to stay overnight it’s dry camping. If you pay to see the museum (highly recommend) it would be a good way to go about asking for permission to camp. It is the closest to the new service center.
I had to ask for permission to stay at the old service center overnight after I got done with service. So if you ask for permission they will let you know if there is a space available.Vivian

I understand the winter (January) winter in Elkhart as we spent 4 days at another service center.
