NEW PROBLEM, black tank tank cable/valve is locked in an open position so I’m not sure if the issue is the cable or the valve. Does grand design use the lasalle Bristol valve? Is the length I need is 48”. My solitude is a 2019 372wb-r . Any help would be appreciated or videos to watch.

If the parts lookup website is correct, it's a valve with a 72" cable (https://www.granddesignrv.com/owner-...s/detail/32070). For some reason the photos on the website are not working anymore, and it's been this way for a month or so, so it's hard to confirm if it's a Lasalle Bristol valve, but chances are it is.

Anyone know the story about the pictures not loading on the parts lookup page?

I can't get them to load, either. I'm using Firefox on Windows 7. What browser are you using? Anyone else having an issue?

I'm using Chrome on my Android phone, and I was having the same issue on Chrome with my Windows 10 surface. Interesting enough, if I select the image and open it in a new tab, that works just fine on my phone. Based on it working for Cate&Rob and the 'new tab' method, means the images are hosted correctly and the page is generating the correct image URL. Maybe something in the page code when it's embedding the image that Firefox and Chrome doesn't like.

Not that this has much to do with plumbing , but I think I found the issue with the images not loading on the parts lookup page. The page itself is encrypted using HTTPS, but the images are not hosted with HTTPS encryption, and are simply using HTTP. The default behavior on some browsers is to not allow HTTP content on HTTPS pages, and will re-write the image URL with HTTPS, which again in this case don't exist.

For example, on the URL above (https://www.granddesignrv.com/owner-...s/detail/32070)
It is trying to use an image hosted at
          http://dpshop.granddesignrv.com/core...jsCw66fmoGZevU
which will work if opened directly on Chrome; however, when used on the parts information page, the browser is trying to re-write the URL as
          https://dpshop.granddesignrv.com/cor...jsCw66fmoGZevU
which won't work since that site does not have HTTPS enabled. I believe the fix, is to upgrade the image hosting site to HTTPS.

Again, not much to do with plumbing, but some consider the Internet to be a giant pipe

Thanks! I'll inform the powers-that-be at GD.

Interesting, and really it all comes down to the browser allowing 'mixed content', IE does the browser still support content delivered over HTTP to be embedded on pages that are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. From what I read, the default behavior on Chrome to not allow mixing was recently introduced. For what it's worth, and for anyone that really needs them to work, you can put in a site setting for the parts lookup page to allow non-secure content, but note that setting does not work when using Incognito mode.

IT at GD is looking into the issue. If the moderators hear back we'll certainly let you know. (Thanks for all the info!)
