  • Slide Seal Silicone Question

I noticed that my bulb seals appeared that the sealant had separated between the rubber track and the bulb. It was not apparent if the bulb part needs the sealant, but I looked at others rv’s In the park, including a new GD, and I think it does. So here’s my question before I continue to clean all the sealant off in preparation for applying new. Does the bulb part get the sealant, or just the rubber track part that touches the RV??

Heres a pic to hopefully explain further.

On my trailer only the track has sealant to the trailer. The bulb is easily slid on and off the tracks if of course the retaining screw were removed.
