  • Scuff marks/scratches on 5th wheel

I had the vinyl insert that covers the screws near my roof break off and before I realized it, it had scuffed/scratched the side of my trailer. What is the best way to try and remove these marks? I tried wax with a buffer but didn’t seem to do much. I’d appreciate any advice or is this just something I have to live with? Thanks so much!

You have several different materials with scratches. Not much that you can do about the decal or the painted aluminum trim. The scratches in the gelcoat can probably be buffed out with a rubbing compound but, go very carefully! The outer gelcoat layer is not very thick. As a reference, You might want to get an RV body shop quote which would include replacement of the decal and probably the aluminum trim. Insurance claim?
