I was looking to buy some black vent covers by Maxair come to find out everywhere I look there back ordered or just out of stock. Looking at the Camco covers they did not get very good reviews, Does anyone secretly know who might have some Maxair covers?

Yep went to camping world they had 1 but looked like it was dragged over the road.

The only MA 1’s I could find were 11 bucks less than the current model II’s $41 vrs $52. My vote is that for 11 bucks the current model is well worth it, but of course it’s your choice.

I purchased two Maxxair from Camping World online about 3 weeks ago. I purchased black and not smoke or white. The black blocks all sunlight which is what I wanted for here in Florida.

Thats what Im looking for there 24 bucks at Camping World if you can find them. I want black for bedroom and bath as I have a huge skylight in the bathroom anyway.

Found some at United RV $23.99 Ill call in AM to see if they have them in stock. Online says you can order but I dont like doing that sometimes you order then they tell you there back ordered

I had the dealer install the tinted sunroof cover Otherwise I was going to tent it. WhIte lets light in but not the heat. Black will block the light. I suggest you invest in the vent insulators, Foil up for summer, down for winter.

Too bad they don't make one for the skylight. The 2nd ac is there just to counter the skylight heat around here.

I just purchased three MaxxAir II vents in white for $36.29 each at RV Upgrades. Free shipping. I'm removing the smoked units where they oxidized and no longer look good.

Dennis66 Dennis, I did not notice much difference in temperatures with the dark vs white covers. I had both on our first TT. I think its more about eliminating the first round of UV light. I can tell you that the shower skylight generates more heat than you would think, I think it generates more heat than both of the other vents combined. In our 1st 5er the shower skylight alone would negate the front AC.

I'll know more after this weekend about the smoke covered sunroof cover. May still need to put a layer of tint on it to reduce the heat.
