Almost New Owners in Chicago

My wife and I have been camping since the day we met. We have car camped in tents, backpacked, canoe camped and owned a pop up for 13 years. Yesterday, we finally pulled the proverbial trigger and bought an Imagine 2800 BH. There was no stock locally with the upgrade we wanted so we will have to wait 60 days or so to finally get it from the factory. We already have the shakedown weekend booked as well as the Memorial Day weekend. I am so excited I could burst. The wife, not so much. She loves the camper and camping but she pays the bills and is still running numbers in her head. 😳 Once she gets in it for the first time and shows it to the grandkids, she will be fine. 🥰

Looking forward to meeting lots of great people on the forum. Hopefully we can get to a rally later in the year.

Welcome mereleagle , and congratulations! We just took delivery of an ordered unit last month. It was about 90 days from date of order to date of completion; about another 30 days for transport to dealer and delivery. Poke around on here long enough, and you will probably learn alot about your new unit. There are a lot of smart and clever owners on here!

Thanks Dave. We bought from General RV (local GD dealer) and since they are just west of Chicago, we are only about 3 hours from Grand Design. General runs their own trucks to pickup customer ordered vehicles. That should cut the 30 days down by a few weeks. 😉
