The cabinet next to the stove had a few issues the DW asked me to address:
The top section is very deep, and not very tall, and the bottom section had an angled piece of paneling that made the rear of that section less useful.
I built a drawer for the top section out of scraps I had in the shop. I even had a drawer glide from a project in the last camper.
The drawer can only be 2 inches tall to miss the upper hinge on the door, so she will need to be careful that thing do not fall out.
I removed the screw holding the panel in the back of the lower unit, and all that was back there was a piece of Romeo and a single gas hose.
A 3/4 x 3/4 space was all that was required, so I made a cover out of scraps that was barely big enough to cover the space. They cut 5 inch x 5 inch triangles off the cabinet sides, so I made covers with 3/4 x 3/4 notches and hot glued them over the openings. We can now use the full depth of the cabinet, which may be a good or bad thing- we'll see.
