  • Living room window hard to close.

This is hard to explain but I will try my best so you can understand my problem. The large window in the living room is hard to close. The top part of the window that opens is hitting (you could hear a bang) on the frame (?) of the part of the window that does not open. I think, it is a metal-to-metal contact. But I am concerned that one day I will end up with a shattered window. The attached picture is very poor. I tried to label where the contact is occurring and it appears that the part of the window that does not move metal frame is a little thicker at the top than at the bottom. I assume this occurred when they glued the metal frame around the window and may be added a little bit too much glue.

TenOC -- I'd attempt to remove and reinstall the window with the hypothesis that the window isn't square or one side was tightened too much before the rest of the screws. If you're a DIY'er, Lippert has volumes of information here: https://support.lci1.com/windows-main/

In addition, Lippert offers online training and Windows is one of the topics. An account is required (free) but well worth the time and effort IMO: https://lippert.learnupon.com/users/sign_in

This is the course (pic only):
