Images not showing up

In several threads opened this morning in which the OP has included a photograph, I'm seeing only the large-spaced placeholder below. Posts following the OP don't complain about not seeing the image. I haven't had a problem before this morning either. Is this just me, or just a gremlin with the site this morning?

So that was my picture, and I know what happened.

I copied it from my google photos account, and pasted it. I *thought* it was just pasting the photo so that it was being hosted on the forum. But what appears to be happening is I'm hotlinking the picture to Google Photos.

If you have a google account, it shows up. If you don't, or are blocked from google, or permissions, etc. you get a image placeholder.

I'll fix mine.
