I have Renogy’s 1000 watt inverter .I connected the grounding terminal of inverter to grounding point on chassis of trailer . I have a hardwired surge guard 35550 installed. Only use it to run tv and dvd Player when boon-docking. No transfer switch, shut off converter at breaker and run extension cord to a 50a to 15a dog-bone never have tripped my surge guard
