    It would be best if the manufacturers wired everything through the battery switch like many of us are doing.
    Otherwise, its best to disconnect the battery if the rig is being stored for more than a few days.

    For the Schwintek slide, its always best to hold the switch down about 3 seconds after stopping to ensure the system remains in sync.

    This is great information as I assumed (which you should never do) that the disconnect switch shut everything off. I am going to disconnect the battery from now on which it goes longer than a week in storage. Aplreciate the info.
