  • Right Tail Light

2020 Grand Design RBE... 2019 Chevy 1500 with the 6.2 engine....My right tail lite works ok on the turn signal and brake light but will flicker and go to one diode intermittently instead of all six.It goes back and fourth this way like a loose connection. When it does work the lights aren't as bright as the other light. I put dielectric grease on the plug and the adapter for the camera and tried the trailer plug alone. Same results. I even took out the light assembly to check connections.

Do I have a bad light assembly?

    Any ideas?

If they are "plug and play" I would switch the left and right lights to see if the problems stays or moves to the other side, then you will have narrowed it down.

Wires are pinched together with squeesable wire nuts.

Slightly bend the contacts on a fuse and put it in the 7-pin on the trailer in the slots on each side of the key. It will turn the tail lights on with the truck out of the equation.

          Jkwilson . . . A good tip John. Bin-ther-dun-that . . . but, I think a 10A fuse would do.
