  • Tire Linc Docking Station Install

I discovered that a docking station for a Tire Linc repeater was missing from the pass through of my GD trailer and contacted GD who immediately sent me one. I was looking for 12VDC power to tap into and discovered an unused 12VDC positive and negative wire dangling out of the DC busbar that has Anderson Powerpole connectors and inline 40A fuses on both the positive and negative wires. On testing it is hot. Just wondered what this was for and if GD ever uses Anderson Powerpole connectors?

JLMorris -- 40A is not a small fuse and well beyond the requirements of the Tire Linc system. The OEM installation manual for V2 of the Tire Linc is here: https://support.lci1.com/tire-linc The max fuse recommended by the manual is 15A.

I have no idea what the 40A fuse is for and no--I've never seen GD use a PowerPole connector.
