  • Slide topper roller cradle

Has anyone tried roller cradle for slide topper awning that is bowing in when it rains ? Awning is tight on both ends but the roll bows and it’s loose in the middle.

I don't think supporting the middle of the roller tube will help. Essentially the wind is getting between the topper and the roof and blowing it.

I've read and heard of people using inflatable pool toys between the topper and the slide roof to help with both ponding and wind.

We have found our dining slide tends to retain more water than others. We simply bring it in partially after a good rain and it seems to spring back up. I have considered looking for a tension adjust but it seems to only sag after a rain. We do put a rope over the slide topper when we have high winds. Keeps them from flapping.
