  • Slide out manual tool, 2018 303RLS

I am in need to replace the manual tool for opening and closing slideout on passenger side under the slide. The one that came with the camper we bought used is damaged. Where to get?

You can just use a 3/4" socket and a ratchet, or you can usually find the factory style on line.

I'm going to suggest you get a good 1/4" hex to socket adapter and keep it along with the cordless drill in the camper. Trying to run the slide in or out by hand with the "speed handle" is extremely slow.

Usually my luck is something stupid like excessive heat or inclement weather are also present at the time, thus having the cordless drill helps get you out of the weather as soon as possible.

Stromstad -- late to this thread, but I'd like to repeat Jlawles2's wording to use a cordless drill NOT a cordless impact driver. Better yet, use a cordless drill with a torque adjuster so it will slip when the slide is all the way in or out.
