    Wrongwayrver -- for clarification if any readers may be confused, a Slide Slicker and a Slide Ski are two different things.

    A Slide Slicker is used when opening and closing a slide to ensure the bottom of the slide does not impact the floor. It is not permanently attached to the camper. (Your alternative is clever!)

    A Slide Ski (talked about the most in this thread) could be considered "trim" that is physically attached to the bottom of a slide. Based on how my trailer is built, GD uses the ski's on thru-frame slideouts (electric and hydraulic). They are not used on Schwintek slides.
