Sheared spring/hanger bolt.

In 2019 I got a nice disk brake upgrade, during that process I got spanky new wet bolts. I have kept them greased. Today, left rear gave out. Noticed a canted wheel, inspected. The bolt holding the spring to the hager was gone. The hanger, a relatively new one ,was a little rounded out but not too bad. Ok, my 4 year old wet bolts are probably done. I know the hanger is 3.25 width, I have had enough of them replaced to know this.

So the question of the day is this; what size of wet bolt kit do I need to order? I am thinking the holes are 9/16" 3.25 means a 3.5 bolt should fit nicely. There was a part of a shim on the inside of the spring, not enough left to tell what it was, any ideas?

Do you have Correct Track hangers ? If so, you are going to need the octagon plates and longer bolts.
By “shim on the inside of the spring . . . do you mean the remains of a bronze bushing in the eye?

No Correct Track. 3 1/4 inch hangers. Shim, bushing; funny how my upbringing has me using terms incorrectly.


Research says 3 3/8 wet bolts. I purchased heavy duty shackles and wet bolts when I had my disk brakes put on in 2019, I'll get in touch with them and find out what shackle/wet bolt they installed.

I am planning a PM session while in FL. Shouldn't be too bad a project.
