Could someone with some experience check out my wiring diagram. Basic system, just meant to charge my battery, no inverter, although I believe I have sized it so more panels and an inverter could be added. Not sure if there should be additional fusing? Any advice appreciated. Thank you

You will want the smart shunt between the battery negative post and all other negative connections. The shunt is labeled "battery" and "load" I believe.

DonWesternMA -- to reinforce what Brian wrote, all the trailer's current to and from the battery must go through the SmartShunt. Notice how on the AMSolar diagram there is only one connection going from the battery side of the shunt to the battery bank.

If there's still some question in your mind about this, watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV055vmZgvY

Note that the wiring is the same for the BMV and SmartShunt except the SmartShunt doesn't have the small monitor.

To your specific question about fusing--what you have should be fine.
