I am wanting to add a receiver hitch to my imagine 2400bh. I would like to bolt/weld it to the frame and was wondering if anyone else with an Imagine had done anything similar. Trying to avoid the bumper. Only carrying bikes, wood or at some point a generator.
I looked at the bolt on the frame type from etrailer. When I went to measure I then realized the stabilizer jacks were in the way and will need to open the underbelly up. Guess I could bolt those to the frame of the hitch. I have till the end of May to figure something out.
I'm still trying to learn which one we need based on our frame. For sure going to have to open the belly up. Relocating the stabilizers shouldn't be too bad since they're just held to the frame with self tappers. My XLS has the bumper brackets that have been welded to the underside of the frame and I think I may have to eliminate or modify those parts. Do you know which receiver we need specifically? I don't want to tear into the under belly just to inspect and measure then put it back together again while I drum up funds and a solid plan. Do we have I beam frame, C channel frame? Hopefully someone will see this and share some knowledge.

If none of the links provided in the other thread (that was linked in post 2 of this thread) were helpful, another approach is to call the frame OEM, Lippert.
Lippert ("LCI") is the OEM for the frame. If you look on the inside of the "A" frame you should find a sticker with the frame identification information. With a picture of that sticker in hand, call Lippert Customer Service and ask them for options. That's the best way (IMO) to ensure you get the right component (if there is one) that will not damage the frame and avoid any warranty issues should something go sideways.
Below is an example with my 315RLTS' frame's info. The RPO number is the most critical piece of information that LCI will need. (To be clear...don't use my info. The pic below is an example--find your trailer frame's sticker!)
