    So I ordered the Rockstar Tow Flap and the extension. Looks like a very simple installation. I'll report once it's installed and I've tested it out.

      howson Howard, thanks for sharing this. I hadn't seen these before and I too am looking for something that doesn't attach to the hitch receiver like the rock tamers do. This looks like a nice solution. Look forward to hearing your thoughts after install. Cheers!

        I Just got some Semi Truck Mud Flap Hangers and the block mounted to the frame right behind the tires, I had to cut down the length a bit because they stuck out from under the truck but they work great and have been on the truck for 20 years...
