We Bought a '22 Solitude 3550bh back in March of 2022. Living in it since then. In October we Skirted it, changed over to a heated hose and When weather really got cold we stuck an oil heater into the pass through and under the back half. Last week the pipes must have froze, this week one must have burst at the back near the out door kitchen (is all we can think) the water was so bad it filled the back storage unit. My husband dropped the under-belly, and started to pull out the insulation. It was sopping wet. As we dug further, we discovered there are multiple cavities to the under side, lined with plastic. and full to the top with water. Pushing up on them is like pushing into a water bed. It was Friday December 30th when we discovered all this. So naturally the dealer was closed. Grand design was closed. Our extended insurance people have said this will be on Grand Design, as we are still 3 months away from our one year. Since then the floor is starting to warp in two slides. The vapor barrier behind the naultis system is soaked. Some of our electrical is/was sitting in water. We keep pumping it out. as of today the water is not collecting anymore (we turned the water off the min we discovered this if that's not clear) The more time passes the more un salvageable the trailer seems it will be. My Question is. Has anyone ever had as issue of this size? Has anyone got any first hand experience having to use their warranty? There is so much we don't know that we don't even know what we don't know. Any info would be helpful

I’d talk to your insurance agent. Freeze damage isn’t likely to be a warranty issue.

Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry to hear about your water damage. You can try calling Grand Design customer service at 574-825-9679, but as John mentioned above, frozen pipes are typically not covered by warranty. It's typically up to the owner to protect their investment by winterizing their rig. As John mentioned, you might try talking to your insurance agent regarding making a claim for damages.

Can you provide a pic of the damaged line? Could be a frozen line or the infamous flex hose to PEX fitting issue we are too familiar with.

“Extended Insurance” is not a term that I am familiar with. Extended Warranty companies are notorious for making it as difficult as possible for you to collect from their coverage. You probably also have RV Insurance which will cover many mishaps regardless of cause . . . unless there are specific exemptions in the fine print of your policy.
