    Warranty on used Reflection 150 Series 290BH

    Hello,

    I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab 6.7L Diesel. I've looked at the max trailer weight, and it is #12,950 lbs. The max hitch weight can be #1,580 lbs. For this reason, my wife and I are considering the Grand Design 290BH because of the weight ratings- it will work for our truck.

    However, there is a big price difference between the '18-'19 models and the '20 models. My question is, if we purchase a '18 or a '19, will we still get customer service/warranty or are we on our own?

    As long as the unit has not been put into service and is sold as "new", the warranty is valid no matter what the model year. If it's used, the one year warranty is typically no longer in effect. But if you're handy and can repair them on your own, it's not a big deal. Another option is to price out an extended warranty.

      While I can't speak for all used camper warranties, the "service policy" our business managers offer can extend back 13 years. So,,,a 2008 camper might be eligible for a service policy. You should ask your dealer for specifics.

        We purchased a 5 month old Used 2017 2600RB in 2017. Contacted Grand Design with a copy of the registration and they transferred the warranty to us.

          As long as you purchase the unit within the first 12 months of it originally being purchased, then yes, the warranty transfers to the subsequent owner. If the original date of purchase was prior to the 1st year, then warranties don't transfer. This only includes the 1-year warranty, not the 3-year warranty. Our 3-year warranty does NOT transfer to subsequent owners.

            Alright thank you for the follow-up. My wife and I have changed plans. We will be getting a 2020 Grand Design Reflection 31MB now.
