  • Got my Survey Link from GDR for all the warranty work I had done in the summer

    I had to submit the warranty claims multiple times, the dealer was less than excited to help resolve issues. In the end they did replace fridge shelves, my TV and fix up my awning, but it was only because I kept bugging them about the issues. (I did pay a stupid guy tax because I did not understand how one of my dump valves worked). Anyway, I get an e-mail from Customer Service asking how my claims experience was. I was excited to give them some constructive and positive feedback. But then I clicked on the link they sent I got this...

      Thanks Brian, Not sure what happened, but that got it fixed with a new service request this morning.

          The survey was from GDR, but they only asked questions about the dealer. I'm not sure what value it is to have GDR asking about dealer, when they don't ask about their own service. Maybe it is because I'm in Canada, but GDR seems very difficult to work with (Canadians could not register on their web site - Rob helped get that fixed, then I could do a warranty request thru the web site). I'm an IT guy, so I guess I just have high expectations that when I fill out a form online or sent email the information will not get lost. Have said that I spend about 4 hours over 5 days on the phone with Apple because they wanted to talk to a person get some of their licensing paperwork done (and they have really crappy call center phone lines).

          Thanks for inquiring and give me more of a chance to vent.

            With reference to your post #3 . . . what got fixed? Your service request or your survey response ?
            As we both know . . . IT companies hired by US manufacturers often don’t comprehend that these manufacturers sell their products in Canada.

              Interesting we had warranty work done. solar panel no big deal the big one was the roof failing. GD did not believe us or the dealer 3 months and ALOT of complaining we got a new roof Shame on you GD foe your lack of QC

                The service request that I put in finally when it. I think (but not sure if I remember correctly) there was two problems - It would not take a Canadian Post code.
                Have said that I just tried to login to MyGDRV and the javscript on the page is looping and making the page unresponsive for https://www.granddesignrv.com/owners/mygdrv on Edge. Switching to Chrome seems to work, thou I really hate the brain dead Okta PIN code used with the login page. (Some quality IT work in some place and other places, *headshake*)

                As for the work that I had done (this was the 2nd warranty trip)​​​​Previous warranty work was for a sewage odor in the trailer and trying to get the TV replaced.​

                Third warranty trip last year was when the slide did not work, and they had to reset the slide motors.
