  • Trip Route Ideas

    Hi,

We are fairly new to Rving. We've done two trips thus far around 6 days long. I'm a bit intimidated about the whole trip planning process. I use RV Trip Wizard and Campendium. Has anybody passed by or started in AZ? If Yes would love to hear some of the routes and destinations that you've done. Also, any tips would be great!

    Thank you!

Hi Velbri. There is a million different ways of camping, and it may take a little while to figure out what your "taste" is.

Some questions that might help you get there:
Do you like Boondocking (Just finding an open spot someone on public lands), Dry Camping (In a campground, but no hookups), basic campgrounds (hookups) and Resorts (Planned activities, rentals of boats / equipment, planned tours).

RV Trip wizard will get you where you want to go without hitting a bridge. (Out here on the east coast, bridges under 10Feet are not uncommon)

Any big hobbies? Like Wineries / Breweries?

I think you asked the same question over on the "other place" but I'll give it a go here as well. Check out "RVer TV" on YouTube. He's based out of Arizona and does some local trips and some long ones. I myself have made route changes based on places he's visited.

I answered over at the other place but you could loop Grand Canyon (north and south rim) then swing north along the AZ and Utah state line and hit Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef and many other spots. Where are you starting from?
