    Hi Keith,

On the infrared temperature gun . . . you can go "inexpensive" on this and get reasonable results. I have three of these . (I needed one for the boat, one for home and one for the RV . . . right?) In any case, the first one that I bought was over 15 years ago and cost me something like $150. The latest one was on sale (at Harbour Freight I think) for about $15. All three work the same way and side-by-side give essentially the same results. Lots of uses on the RV from checking wheel hub temps, to confirming AC performance, to calibrating the oven and so on.

I ended up getting this IR gun https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Good price and good reviews. If it works well I may get a second one for the home. Don't have a boat - should I get one for that too and then get the boat to fit? I am sure the DW would let me do it

But...................... dang nabbit it Rob - there you go again....For a long time I have been looking for a small fishing cat 8' to 12' (inflatable small frame) but prices were high - maybe I should look today again?
