It is highly unlikely that you would be able to get service work done by a Grand Design dealer, other than the one you purchased from. RV dealers have no obligation to service any trailer that they did not sell and usually refuse to do so . . . this is not like getting your truck looked after at the nearest GM dealer. Mobile RV service companies are usually the best bet and every campground can connect you to those with a good reputation in their area. It is always better to get repairs done by someone who's business is repairing RVs . . . rather than someone who's business is selling RVs. (in my opinion)

Rob (and Mike): Thanks for the reply. That's really what we have relied on in our travels, which is to first inquire at the campground. They generally have a good sense of who to contact regarding mobile techs.

I was underwhelmed by the dealer locator on the GD website, so I thought I may be missing something as to locating dealers. As we have a GD dealer in the local area who is great for obtaining parts (I've never used them for service), I was thinking that if I was on the road and needed parts, a list of dealers would be good to have.
