Just wondering, is the warranty transferable. Meaning I bought a 2017 model, is the 12 year roof warranty still good?.... etc... Just wonderinig. I did buy my trailer used. But its like brand new...

Unfortunately, no. You might be able to still buy an extended (aftermarket) warranty, but their value is dubious IMHO.

So you can see for yourself, go to https://www.granddesignrv.com/owner-...owners-manuals and find the Owner's Manual for your trailer. In that Owner's Manual there's very detailed information regarding Grand Design's warranty as well as the component manufacturers warranty.

For your specific question on the roof, my Reflection manual says there's a "12 year limited warranty". I did a search on google and found this PDF: https://www.dutchmen.com/resources/m...d_warranty.pdf

Howard. That quote is for a replacement roof. I wonder if it's the same for an OEM installed roof.

I think the document applies to the Alpha roofing material, regardless of who installs it. Note the reference in the document to OEM installation.

Regardless of the applicability of this specific document, the bottom line is an RV's warranty does not transfer to a second or subsequent owner. I'm not aware of any component on a Grand Design that transfers.

Is that correct or is there something that does transfer? (Maybe the tires?)

dohertycm The 3 year structural warranty is non-transferable to subsequent owners. Alpha, our roofing supplier does offer a 12 year warranty. All owners will need to contact them directly for their warranty procedures.
