  • Pass Through Storage Containment In Case Door Opens?

I have been researching this some over various forums and so far expansion bars and netting are options. The expansion bars (curtain rods)like theses https://www.amazon.com/Black-28-52-D...72&sr=8-4&th=1 seem to work. The walls inside my pass through doors measure 38 to 38.5" apart so I need something to cover that distance. I was thinking two bars per door.

I am wanting something to hold back cargo from hitting the door, but also want something easy to remove to get stuff out. I looked at netting and bungee cords, but they wont keep the pressure off the door, but will contain the cargo. Attachment point on the false wall side are weak too. The bars seem more rigid and should be easy to remove. I have used the fridge bars in the past in the fridge, but have not found any long enough for the cargo doors.

What have others done and sources for the parts?

    Thanks for any help
    Keith

Keith, you may need to add a reinforced area for those to press against behind the false wall.

To shorten, it looks like you could loosed the screw and just modify the ratchet end with a hacksaw, then the internal end of the inner bar by the same amount.

Thanks Joseph Jlawles2 and Howard howson This should work better than the curtain rods and can multitask for the slide too . I also found the actual slide locking bars like I had on my old trailer. Dont remember them being so expensive though.

Keith, RV is like HD, JD, and owning a Boat. HD = Hundred dollar JD Just another Dollar, Boat = hole in water..... RV = hole in everything, Replacement Value Increase....

And nothing cost what we remember. Between COVID and China, everything is escalated in price.

Few of these on the walls, https://www.grainger.com/product/GRA...srrItems_2HAU7 then U's on the end of some boards or strut like https://www.amazon.com/Harris-Hardwa...116448455&th=1 and you have a drop in end wall.
