    I discovered a ripple in the exterior skin just aft of the slide out. A moisture meter reading indicates 100% moisture. Can that be fixed?

    Hi MikW and welcome to the technical forum.

    What kind of rig do you have? If it's a Transcend with a metal on wood framing structure it can be repaired pretty easily. However, if it's a fiberglass model, the damage is tough to deal with. The adhesive that bonds the fiberglass to the wall is water soluble and once it delaminates, it won't go back.

    First things first. find the source of the moisture. If it's just aft of the slide out, I'm suspecting that the sealant around the slide has failed and is allowing rain water to penetrate. it could also be coming from leaking window caulk.

    There are several things that can be done to remedy the situation once the moisture issue is resolved.

    The delaminated area can be cut out and patched.
    The wall can be replaced.
    You can live with it.
