  • Water leaking from Coroplast under belly

We just arrived to our sight after driving through light rain for about 50 miles and there is water dripping through the weep holes of the Coroplast. The fresh tank is still registering 1/3 which seems right. The drip stopped after about an hour. I'll monitor for now but am concerned that something is wrong. This unit recently experienced a hail storm of baseball size hail. There is one crack in the fiberglass near the nose above the propane tank compartment.
Is it possible that driving through rain would cause water to leak through the Coroplast to leak like this?

It is very common for water to get into the underbelly when driving through rain. The tires kick up a lot of water, and anywhere there is a small opening it can penetrate and pool up. Items where penetration can occur can be over the spare tire, where the slide out mechanisms penetrate the frame, screw holes, you name it.

as long as it can dry out, it usually causes no lasting harm.

A good test for potential plumbing leaks is to disconnect from city water and use your on-board tank and water pump. If the pump comes on without opening a faucet . . . you have a plumbing leak. If the pump stays off . . . there is no leak to worry about.
