    Since the walls of our RV have layers of luan (interior and exterior) along with a fiberglass exterior (except Transcend), the "problem" of light transiting the foam is not an issue. If indeed there is light penetration of that door as shown in the OP, the obvious(?) answer is the exterior and interior top layers LCI used making that door are also translucent.

    It will be interesting to read what the OP learns from talking with Lippert.
