Last fall I performed a roof inspection and found some holes in this very thin membrane at the rear of the camper. I'm guessing tree branches pokes these holes. In the photo you can see the membrane in question overlaps the main roof layer and goes rearward up and over a c-channel. I don't know what happens when water gets into this c-channel but I think it's best to keep it out. The sealant on the front leading edge was pealing up and needed attention as well. I cleaned all surfaces with alcohol fuel and applied an eternabond type of tape.
Does anybody know what the deal is with this thin membrane that spans the gap over the c-channel. Not a good design in my opinion.
