Hello! We are getting our new GD Reflection 150 series 278bh in April. I am currently looking for a Chevy or GMC 3/4 standard bed to pull it with. The reflection comes with a Lippert Turning point king pin and I am trying to find the best reasonably priced hitch that works with it. I am going to have the puck system in the bed so it has to be compatible with that. Any ideas! Also do I need to buy a new wedge for the hitch? Thank you

Lots of 5vr owners here that will be along shortly with a response to your inquiry.

Thank you . The turning point king pin makes it possible to not need a sliding hitch. So I believe I just need a standard hitch . I just can’t find info anywhere which hitch is best with that king pin or what wedge works. One comes with the turning point but I have read that it doesn’t fit some of the hitches. My sales rep said to look at Pullrite ones but they are a little more than I would like to spend. Any other thoughts? Thank you all.

I have the Pullrite Slider and like it. My only complaint on the hitch is it's heavy. Right now the biggest issue is going to be finding a hitch that fits the new GM Platform. I think Pullrite is the only one with one out at this time for the pucks.
I think Demko or Pullrite makes a puck adapter to ISR so you could go to any hitch.
As to the wedge not fitting, My suggestion is to simply look at the wedge. It would not be difficult to make one that fits or order one that will fit. I was doing a bit of reading and someone (don't remember which mfg) makes an adapter for the LCI king pin to their head wedge b/c the supplied wedge does not fit.Joseph

Having a TT I have not looked into the fifth wheel hitches. I would be tempted to contact eTrailer to see what they would recommend.

The "what" is helpful, but can you add more detail as to "why" the choice of the Curt over all the other options available?

Bottom of page they are working on some other options.
found this with a little searching. https://www.pullrite.com/4452
Also on the rotating pin box, it has lockout bolts so you can use an auto slider instead. The one I saw when we signed to buy the new 303 on the Relection 150 has the lock out bolts installed.Last edited by Jlawles2; 02-13-2021, 07:53 PM.Joseph

ajrupert8008@yahoo.com , hello and welcome. FWIW, I tow a Solitude 390RK with a shortbox 2015 Silverado. My hitch won't work with your turning point. But I don't have or need a sliding hitch. The shape of the current front caps leaves plenty of clearance for normal turns. Don't worry about trying to turn the combination 90 degrees; I have been towing many years and tens of thousands of miles and have never, ever had to do that. It also would be stressful to the truck and the trailer suspension. I had a slider on my last trailer, which had a similar front cap to this unit. But it was REALLY heavy. Replacing it got me an additional 300 pounds of weight capacity of pin weight, which I needed. The B&W and pullrite hitches are very well made and have a good design on the locking jaw for your kingpin. You've already spent a small fortune on your new trailer--don't go cheap with the hitch. It is not the right place to try to save a few bucks. If your hitch comes with a wedge, you should contact the hitch manufacturer to see if it is compatible with their product. Aftermarket wedges may not fit your turning point. That wedge plays a very important role and must work in harmony with the hitch. As your truck is a new design, and GM changed the puck locations somewhat at model change, this may limit your choices somewhat. Good luck with your search.Dave and Darren Bakersfield, CA

We just purchased a 150 Series 295RL (had it towed to storage) and ordered an F250 short box 6 3/4. We are having the same search also. I have scoured the ford Forums and Grand Design forums with regards to hitches and onneau covers (clearance of rails, tailgate and tonneau covers). I had nailed it down to two the Pullrite Superglide 2914 (18.5 inches high ) and Demco slider adjustable to 18.25 inches high. The issue is the Turning Point Trailair pin box on my150 series is only 9 to 10.5 inches wide so if you want to lock out the Turning Point in its non movable position you have to use the wedge that is attached to pin box on the 5th wheel. You cannot use the Demco rails because they only collapse to 12 inches (too wiide))I verified that with Demco.. So with both of these products you have to use the wedge with the 150 series to use the slider. There is lubrication maintenance on both but you can do it with the slider in the bed of your truck. If you want to use the Turning Point`s rotation ability then to lubricate the Turning Point bearings you need to take the Pin box off. It is quite heavy. There are videos on this. I am now leaning toward sliders specifically the Pullrite only because it seems easier to lubricate than the Demco and the Turning Point Trailair. Still working on the tonneau cover.AL & JANET
