Our bathroom sliding door disengaged several times this summer during travel. The problem was at the top hanger on the starboard (curb) side. It's a PIA to reattach, as the sliding vertical post from the slide track couples with the horzontal latch hardware on top of the door. I found a way to reattach the door hardware without removing the wooden valance covering the entire track area. I used 2' of fishing line looped around the post, pulling it backwards into the latch hardware, then using my flyfishing hemostat (really thin needle-nose pliers) reach up under the valance & pushed the latch closed around the post. Fixed... until it became unattached again while travelling. Fixed it again & used a rolled up towel under the door for "support" during travel, as I think that lack of support at the bottom starboard door is the underlying cause. There is only 1 plastic door track guide at the bottom port side, so I installed another door track guide to support the bottom of the door from moving & provide stability. I purchased my part from Home Depot (online - ship to store). I also needed to fabricate a 1/2" spacer for alignment. I attached some pics. We are following the Sandhill Cranes to southern AZ soon, so I will be able to test my modification. Hope this helps others with sliding door issues.
