  • Mopeka sensor to measure diesel?

Has anyone tried to use a mopeka pro (propane or water) sensor to measure diesel (or gasoline) level in a tank? Does it work reliably, which sensor, and what were the settings used?

I did the crude experiment of pressing a water sensor against the bottom of my diesel tank and got a repeatable not-unreasonable depth reading, so thats something.

For context, I had upgraded my 36 gallon truck diesel tank to a 56 gallon titan one, resulting in an inconsistent fuel reading (which can't easily be corrected). Wondering if I can stick a mopeka sensor on as an alternative fuel readout.

Madonnell I'd think their water tank sensor would work, but I know in a Ford the tank is really oddly shaped so that could affect its accuracy.
