We have discovered a hairline crack in the bottom of the refrigerator. I think the best way to deal with it is with some sort of silicone caulking. Any thoughts on this?

What model of fridge - absorption fridge or residential? Is the crack inside in the plastic liner or outside somewhere? Is the refrigerator still under warranty? Silicone does not adhere well to plastic and provides no structural support - a two-part epoxy would be a better choice (after thorough cleaning, of course). As suggested by steve&renee , can you post a photo?
