Can I replace the Dometic refrigerator with a domestic refrigerator that requires 115 volts to use? We do not need the gas option so plan to purchase a regular refrigerator.

Many have done so (they're called "residential refrigerators"). GD units that come with them currently have a counter-depth Samsung residential fridge. You'll want at least two good batteries and a 1,000 watt inverter to run the fridge when traveling. Search the forums and you'll find a number of threads on the topic.

Thanks. Don’t have to worry about batteries as don’t move our fifth wheel.

This has been a modification that folks have done on different brands for many, many years. I have a friend who has a 25 year old trailer. When their gas RV refrigerator failed, they replaced it with a residential and it's been there for at least a dozen years.
